Blepharoplasty (Eyelid)

  • Can create a more youthful appearance
  • Can provide better eyesight for individuals with hooded lids
  • Requires downtime

How it Works

A Skin Only Blepharoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that removes the excess skin of the upper eyelid using a laser. The procedure is customized for every patient and is performed by a trained medical doctor within the practice. Skin Only Blepharoplasty can improve the drooping skin of the top eyelid. It can also improve the vision of patients who experience a hooding of their upper eyelids.

Skin Only Blepharoplasty will not remove wrinkles under the eye area. The treatment does not eliminate dark circles under the eyes or lift sagging eyebrows.

The sophisticated CO2 laser is used to cut the skin of the upper eyelid. The procedure is done under local anaesthetic and takes approximately an hour. You will have stitches for a week following this procedure.

Due to the healing process, Skin Only Blepharoplasty can take up to six months to see the absolute final results.

There is approximately two weeks downtime associated with a Skin Only Blepharoplasty. You will have stitches for one week and may experience mild bruising. You will be required to wear tape on the wound for 2 weeks.
